Hire Our Facilities
Dartford Grammar School for Girls has a range of facilities that are available for hire at various times during the year for either a one off event or on a regular basis.
We are delighted to have long standing relationships with various associations, swim schools, sports clubs and dance clubs as well as local primary and secondary schools.
Availability
During term time, the school is a busy place, educating over a thousand students. Most facilities are therefore only available to hire during the evening on weekdays from 5pm until 10pm, or during the school holidays. Facilities are also available for hire at weekends from 9am until 6pm.
Please note that we do not hire out facilities for celebrations or parties.
Parking
Car parking is limited during term time but there are spaces available in various areas within the school car park and grounds during the school holidays. There are disabled parking bays available at all times.
Health and Safety
We follow HSE regulations and guidance and operate a strict health and safety policy to ensure that the school, hirer and users of our facilities are safe at all times. Please note that DBS checks are required should you wish to undertake a hire during the school day. Permission is normally only granted to other local schools for lettings during the school day, however please note that risk assessments and current DBS checks are still required.

Swimming Pool

We have a well-maintained indoor heated swimming pool with changing rooms. Organisations or groups hiring the pool must provide their own lifeguard.
This facility is used throughout the year by many external groups including local schools. Availability is very limited, but please enquire if you are interested in booking the pool at the contact email listed.

Sports Hall

The Sports Hall was purpose-built in 2009. Internally, the indoor hall is 36m x 23m and is marked out for a variety of indoor sports. It has a full-sized netball court, four badminton courts, and a volleyball and basketball court. The Sports Hall has separate female and male changing facilities as well as disabled access and changing facilities.
Please note that the Sports Hall is not available for hire during the mock and public exam periods which take place in January and from May to the end of June

Dance Studio

| Our dance studio is fitted with air conditioning and has its own changing facility. It is hired on a regular basis by Jujitsu clubs and local dance clubs. |
Canteen

| The dining hall is available for hire and is currently used by neighbourhood organisations for their regular meetings. It provides table and chair seating for 190. |
Main Hall

| The Main Hall is ideal for presentations, lectures, seminars and workshops and can comfortably seat 600, with 125 in the balcony area. The Main Hall’s floor space is 25.5m x 13.6m, and in addition has a stage area measuring 9.1m wide by 6.5m deep. |
College Block Hall

| We have a second smaller hall which can be used for presentations, lectures, seminars and workshops and this can comfortably seat 240. This measures 18.5m x 9.6m. |
Outdoor Facilities

| The school also has two hard surface tennis/netball courts and a large grass pitch available for ball sports. |
