On the Friday before half-term we were delighted to be visited by the author Julian Sedgwick and illustrator Chie Kutsuwad who came in to talk about their latest book.
“100 Tales From The Tokyo Ghost Cafe” is a new collaboration between novelist Julian Sedgwick and Manga artist Chie Kutsuwad, a companion to the Carnegie medal shortlisted novel “Tsunami Girl" which is already in our Sixteen before 16 school reading collection.
Julian and Chie talked to year 7 about “100 Tales From The Tokyo Ghost Cafe” and “Tsunami Girl", and then Chie held a workshop with year 9 Art students while Julian talked to year 10 RS students about Buddhism in Japan, before holding a lunchtime Q&A session in the library.
