DGGS Winter Concert

The Winter Concert was a great success with 260 students taking part from Years 7 to 13 and was well attended with the Main Hall reaching its full capacity.  The event showcased the different musical ensembles on offer at DGGS including: Year 7 Choir, Gospel Choir, DGGS Choir, Orchestra, Senior String Ensemble, Flute Ensemble, Sixth Form Band, Year 13 Trio as well as our soloists Anji Ogunwusi on piano and Sophie Yeung on violin. The students' dedication to lunchtime and after school rehearsals resulted in high quality performances, which I hope to share with you in the coming weeks. It was truly impressive to see the array of groups, how they worked and played together as one, the student leadership from Sixth Form band and Gospel Choir.  I wish to congratulate all the students that took part and thank all the staff who helped make the concert possible.
