The Anthea Bell Translation Prize 2026

Congratulations to Heritage and Milena in Year 9 and April in Year 10 for their outstanding achievement in being awarded commendations for their translations by the judges of a national competition 'The Anthea Bell Translation Prize' 2026. This is an annual MFL competition organised by The Queen's College, Oxford. They translated poems from French, German and Spanish into English and their individual entries had to be creative and their own take on the key messages of the poem. There were 25,000 entries this year and the team of judges included leading professional literary translators. They will receive certificates and feature on the University of Oxford website. A huge well done to all three!
